Perry Central Community Schools is excited to announce that we will be hosting a nationally recognized program, Digital 4 Good, to help our students in grades 7-12 learn about digital safety, particularly regarding cell phone usage. In today’s world, technology is an ever-evolving tool we use daily, but it can also pose risks if not used responsibly or monitored effectively. Our goal is to educate both students and families to ensure student safety.
On January 15th, our students will participate in a daytime assembly. Digital4Good’s school assemblies introduce students to essential digital citizenship concepts and practices, empowering them to act responsibly in the online space. This month, students have been participating in lessons that address safety concerns and the assembly will build on these lessons, enhancing students’ digital knowledge and overall well-being.
In addition to the student assembly, we are also hosting a parent program that evening at 6:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria, so families can learn more about how to support their children. This parent program will cover key insights into current digital trends, practical tips for monitoring technology use at home, and strategies to help families create a safe and balanced digital environment. It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to partner with you in keeping our students and community safe.
We hope you can join us on January 15th for this valuable learning experience. Together, we can equip our students with the tools they need to thrive in a digital age.
Thank you for your ongoing support of Perry Central Community Schools and for partnering with us to ensure the safety and success of our students.

Perry Central Online provides students and families with a variety of online options AND a connection to their local community school! We realize that most students find success in an in-person, traditional environment; however, it's important that we honor the many students who have unique challenges and situations that make online options a better fit. Precision Agriculture students, Caleb VanWinkle, Payton Park, Joseph Cunningham and Natalee Tempel have been working hard to make updates in the school greenhouse. Last year, the PC ag department was fortunate to receive grants from the United Way and the Perry County Community foundation for these updates. The ag department purchased hydroponics systems to raise lettuce for the school cafeteria. Students have built the systems from the ground up and just harvested their first 15 pounds of lettuce for the cafeteria and have plans to provide that much each week. This has been a great hands on opportunity for the students while providing a sustainable and healthy option for Perry Central. Lettuce will be ready in the cafeteria Wednesday, December 11th! Hope everyone enjoys!

Reminder for grade 3-4 parents of Junior Commodore Basketball players. The boys will NOT be playing at halftime of tonight's varsity game. Thank you!

Reminder to Families: There will be no 5:30 routes on Wednesday, Dec. 11th due to the Candy Cane Carnival. Students attending Lights On who want to attend the Candy Cane Carnival will need to be picked up and accompanied by a parent/guardian. Thank you!
